Empowering Black Mothers and Families for Healthier Futures

Join us for a special events focused on supporting Black mothers and families in the Aurora community. The BIRTH Project is dedicated to improving maternal and infant health by providing essential resources, education, and advocacy. Here's how we can help:

Providing Maternal & Family Health Education

  • Offering workshops and resources to educate mothers and families about prenatal, postpartum, and infant care.

  • Empowering Black fathers and men as vital partners in maternal and infant health.

  • Equipping families with the knowledge to make informed healthcare decisions.

Connecting Families to Community Resources

  • Partnering with local organizations to provide ongoing support for Black mothers and families.

  • Offering guidance on financial assistance, parenting support groups, and childcare services.

Assisting with Healthcare Access

  • Helping Black mothers and families navigate the healthcare system to find doctors, prenatal services, and specialists.

  • Connecting families with insurance options and available medical programs.

Providing Essential Baby & Maternal Supplies

Ensuring that Black mothers have access to safe and essential baby care items. Distributing necessities such as:

Bassinets

Playpens

Diapers

Baby toiletries

and more to families in need

Through the BIRTH Project, the Aurora African American Health Fair Committee is committed to improving maternal and infant health by ensuring that Black families receive the care, education, and resources they need for healthier pregnancies and stronger starts for their children.
